Description
Rare pair of daybeds, French work by Louis Paolozzi made in the 1950s. The oak and mahogany base has been restored by an art cabinetmaker, the mattress and the bolsters have been refurbished and covered with fabrics from Casamance and Nobilis. The bottom of the bed is renovated in plywood, and foam covered with stretch fabric (faomback).
A design with broken lines, highlighted by the contrast of wood species. Refinement and elegance in this unusual model, a haute couture reference. (can be sold separately).
Louis Paolozzi: designer of French furniture. Of Italian origin, it is distinguished by the design of its seats and its furniture with flexible shapes evoking the greatest Italian productions. He participated in various Salons des Artistes Décorateurs, and in 1968 won the René Gabriel prize. -
