Description
A Pair of Carl Malmsten Visingo Chairs all original. A spectacular pair of Carl Malmsten Visingo Chairs for AB O.H. Sjogren Stoppmobler in Oak. In good original condition complete with original fabric and badges to both chairs. Slight nicks to the legs and one arm, fabric is in good condition, cushions are spring bound cage. The famous “Visingsö” series demonstrates Carl Malmsten’s ablilty to bring traditional style into modernism with a balance of proportion, material, simplicity and functionality shaped into high quality timeless furniture with attention to every detail. The importance of this balance can be identified in the design and execution of the Visingo pieces. With these chairs the visual features such as the wooden spindle back slates and the forward up swept open arms relationship to the seat angled back create interest and present that balance that Carl Malmsten is know for.
