Description
The coral owl lamp is an exceptionally rare and important piece of work made and signed by the pioneering Belgian artist Willy Daro
Dating from the 1970's
Comprising a body made from a single piece of natural coral with worked brass head and base, the lamp base is hand inscribed with the artists signature
The lamp has been rewired and fitted with a modern replacement lampshade
53cm Height (inc shade) 30cm Width (shade), lamp alone 38cm Height, Base 11cm Width/Depth, owl body approx 14cm Width
The coral owl featured on the website that was run by the artists son
The lamp takes a single standard b27 (LARGE BAYONET) bulb, there is a rocker switch on the cable and UK plug
Willy Daro ran his studio les nouveaux ateliers Willy Daro in Brussels, Belgium, where he was one of the pioneering artists working with natural materials, particularly coral, minerals and fossils, alongside contemporaries Jacques Duval Brasseur, Maison Honoré and Henri Fernandez.

None of the lighting will require rewiring for use in the USA.
All of our lighting is wired and ready for use in the USA. For ceiling and wall lights you would just need to use the suitable USA 120V lightbulbs.
