Description
While in Central Park, Photographer Mitchell Funk captures a moment where a leafless tree trunk and a faceless human with a flowering hat have a symbiosis. The framing of the images highlights the two shapes relating to each other. The elaborate white hat takes on a floral presence that is missing from the tree. The whole scene is soaked in a high-contrast golden light and is as much abstraction as it is representation.
