Description
A French Napoléon III period framed architectural oil on canvas panel from the mid 19th century, with Allegory of the Arts and rinceaux motifs. Created in France at the beginning of Emperor Napoléon III's reign, this architectural panel captures our attention with its exquisite depiction of the Allegory of the Arts sitting on a cloud, and accompanied by a putto, whose body torsion echoes the ribbon flying in the air. Completed with delicate rinceaux, the panel is set inside a gilded frame with carved crest. With its lovely subject and nice patina, this Napoléon III oil on canvas architectural panel circa 1850 will bring a touch of undeniable elegance to any wall. The height is 73.5" on the sides and 76" at the crest.
