Description
Paul Evans Studio armchairs designed for a commission for the home of personal friends.
The upholstery is original as pictured in the last vintage photo.
Dorsey Reading, Paul Evans's studio chief has provided a certificate of authenticity that the eight armchairs were handcrafted at the Paul Evans studio in 1973.
The majority of the chairs retain Paul Evans Studio paper labels on the underside of the seats with a hand written notation "spec. dining chairs" and dated 1973.
I also have available separately a matching Paul Evans Directional Cityscape dining table (1973-1978) ( see last photo) similarly clad in mirrored chrome panels measuring 84" x 42" with an additional 15" leaf as shown. The corner supports of the dining table are 4 inch square and the chair supports are 3 inch square.
The chairs are in good vintage condition.
There is some slight wear though as expected such as rub marks here and there from use., the photos are true.
The eight Paul Evans Studio armchairs are a great set. -
