Description
This brilliantly precise and sophisticated Mid-Century Modernist Abstract Geometric Screen Print in Grey Squares Edition 78/90 is by Mon Levinson and originates from the United States, 1969. Features a square composition resting in a custom gallery finished grey cerused walnut frame beneath glass. The piece is a beautiful exploration of minimal geometry and precision, a gradation of overlapped squares that gradually become thinner and thinner as they expand towards the edges, revealing a stacked cross form opening with the illusion of depth and curvature despite being composed strictly in rectangular shapes, the balance of values achieving this optical illusion in spectacular form. This beautiful Scree-nprint is a gem of Modernism and is sure to style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly framed, this piece is in Excellent Vintage Condition.
American, circa 1969 -
