Description
In 1978, Giuseppe Rivadossi established Officina Rivadossi, where he began crafting exquisite furniture and wooden objects. The Italian maestro continues his work in the studio, now known as Habito, located in the town of Nave. Wood has always been his primary material, and the unique style and techniques Rivadossi has perfected are among the finest in the world.
Design
This is beautifully exemplified in this set of four chairs made from Slavonian oak, a wood renowned for its exceptional durability, impact resistance, and adaptability to varying humidity. Rivadossi’s signature design approach is evident in the gouged surface texture that creates a pleasing relief. The chairs are constructed using a sturdy interlocking frame of mortise and tenon joints, with two slats on each side. The seats are gently curved and angled for enhanced ergonomics, while the slightly curved and angled backrests are adorned with a geometric carving of four small inverted pyramids.
Condition
The condition of these chairs is excellent, with a lovely patina that adds to their charm. The set comes with a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its provenance.
We also have a matching Rivadossi dining table available. -
