Williams Lawrence
Showrooms
Founded by design legend Bunny Williams in 1988 as Bunny Williams Interior Design, the company was renamed Williams Lawrence in 2023, under the leadership of Bunny and her business partner Elizabeth Lawrence. For over three decades, the firm has built a legacy of superior design. Renowned for balancing refined beauty with welcoming, livable appeal, their work is rooted in tradition and history, and exudes a creative, contemporary vision for unexpected, timeless spaces that above all, celebrate the personalities and style of their clients.
The firm is anchored by long-lasting and valued relationships with its clientele. The resulting commissions over three decades—many for repeat homeowners—are found across the United States and abroad, in city apartments, country estates and cottages; in the mountains and by the water.
Staff
Considered one of the most talented names in design, Bunny is also an accomplished businesswoman, entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist. A lover of dogs, gardens, and china, Bunny’s knowledge and expertise is on par with her enjoyment of life. Her eponymous firm—launched in 1988 following a 22-year apprenticeship with the esteemed Parish-Hadley Associates—has wrought its own indelible imprint and legacy.
One of Architectural Digest’s “AD100 Hall of Fame” members, Bunny is consistently named on various best-of lists, including Elle Decor’s A-List and Luxe’s Gold List, and has won numerous awards. In addition to a thriving interior design business, she and her business partner Elizabeth Lawrence also run Bunny Williams Home, the firm’s line of furnishings, lighting, art and accessories. Williams has also created a line of product in collaboration with Ballard Designs and is the author of 7 books, including the iconic An Affair With a House and, more recently, Love Affairs With Houses (written with Elizabeth Lawrence), and Bunny Williams: Life in the Garden.
Elizabeth Lawrence has spent her career working alongside Bunny Williams, designing projects across the country, from Manhattan to Palm Beach to Los Angeles. Since being named Bunny’s only Partner in 2017, which led to the newly announced renaming of the firm as Williams Lawrence, she and Bunny have run the Bunny Williams umbrella of brands together.
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Elizabeth attended the University of Richmond and then the New York School of Interior Design. She was honored by The New York School of Interior Design at their annual gala in 2020 and her work has been widely published in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Veranda, Galerie, House Beautiful, and many others. A few of her current projects include a new country estate, a glamorous New York City townhouse, a Palm Beach getaway and a young family’s apartment overlooking Central Park.
