Description
A masterpiece of Italian glass art is this phenomenal mouthblown mid century Murano table lamp, artfully handcrafted by the oldest glass manufactory in Venice: the famous company of Barovier & Toso, which dates back to 1295. The creations of Barovier & Toso are one-of-a-kind works in Venetian mouth blown crystal and handcrafted by master artisans in Murano, custodians of an age-old tradition passed down across the generations. Angelo Barovier invented a revolutionary formula that made it possible to obtain an unprecedented material with extraordinary characteristics of extreme transparency and brightness. This elaborately handcrafted large Murano table light with its bulby but still slim, elegant glass body, infused by 24k gold flakes and a beautifully worked lampshade, is a truly gorgeous example of a Murano lightning art - designed to last and create a refined look. A unique mid century table lamp out of the world-renowed Murano glass art workshops of Barovier & Toso, coming in perfect original condition. This item specifically, was made for a famous traditional French decorative fabric store in Paris.
