Unsigned, American School.
Probably New England, ca. 1850-1875.
Pastel on paper, in a period gilt frame and backboards (original).
Over-all in fine condition, minor scratches.
This popular view and destination was most likely painted from a lithograph originally printed in 1839 by William Bartlett. Folk artists of this period often relied on print sources.
