Description
This example of the iconic Tapio Wirkkala floor lamp manufactured and stamped by Idman, retains all original parts and is in beautiful condition. The lamp has only been rewired. Othewise in original condition.
The design of this lamp offers adjustability in height between 108cm and approximately 168cm. Also the depth is adjustable and can be set at a maximum of 110cm. Moreover, the direction and position of the shade is adjustable along three axes.
This lamp shows the designers exceptional understanding of geometry and functionality with a minimalistic approach that makes this lamp easy to allocate in the most challenging of interiors.
About the designer: Tapio Wirkkala has been awarded a great number of Triennale awards, gold medals and special recognitions. He is internationally acclaimed and has used a number of different materials in his designs including glass, wood, plywood, silver and ceramics. -
