Description
This exquisite 18th-century French table lamp is a masterful example of Louis XVI-era craftsmanship, originally crafted as a candlestick and later converted into a lamp. Made from hand-carved wood, it features a distressed painted finish in soft, muted tones with gilded accents, showcasing the timeless elegance of French neoclassical design.
The tapered baluster form is adorned with delicate gilt acanthus leaves and floral motifs, gracefully transitioning into a sculpted pedestal base supported by four rounded gilded feet. The aged patina and natural wear add authenticity, highlighting its centuries-old character and charm.
Fitted with a modern linen drum shade and wired for contemporary use, this lamp seamlessly blends antique grandeur with practical lighting. A stunning addition to any sophisticated interior, from classic French country to refined European-inspired spaces.
