Description
In this listing we offer an adapted customized version of the original cloud chandeliers from the historic Milchhalle building in the „Wiener Volksgarten“, the Vienna People's Garden, which is a public park in the center of Vienna, Austria.
While the original (which can be found in our other listings with the 1stdibs article number LU1015210241333) has a diameter of 98 inches, this version has been scaled down, including the hand-blown satin glass globes. This model now has a diameter of 60 inches. Depending on your preference, we offer the model either mounted directly on the ceiling or with a rod. The minimum drop height is 24 inches and is variable, as we can provide the chandelier with a rod in any desired length. The displayed chandelier has a height of 32 inches. It features 19 globes and produces a wonderful light and will be wired for the standards of you country using UL-listed material.
Additionally, we offer further customized sizes for this model and are happy to plan and discuss possible dimensions and variations with you.
The original cloud chandeliers were initially mounted in the famous Milchhalle building located in the heart of Vienna's Volksgarten, near the Austrian Parliament, the Vienna City Hall, and the Vienna Burgtheater. The Milchhalle is one of Oswald Haerdtl's most renowned and recognized buildings in Vienna, which is still in use as a bar, restaurant and dance club.
In the photos you will also find images of the original chandelier in the Vienna Volksgarten, as well as photos from an Elle Decor article where one of these chandeliers is beautifully showcased.
The chandelier will be built by Austrian craftsmen with years of experience. The lead time for this chandelier is about 16 weeks. We are confident that the result will be perfect for your desired display. -
