Description
One Tall Drink of Chrome: The Pierre Cardin Wardrobe Chest
This 50.5" tall vintage masterpiece by none other than Pierre Cardin—fashion icon turned furniture futurist. This bold and sculptural wardrobe chest of drawers is clad in crisp white laminate with sleek chrome banding, making it look like it strutted off a Paris runway and into your living room. And yes—she’s signed on the side chrome banding like the diva she is.
Open the double doors and you’ll find multiple drawers ready to hold your clothing, linens, or whatever you hoard in style. While technically a wardrobe, this beauty is way too chic to be exiled to the bedroom. She belongs front and center—entryway? glam. Dining room bar? Iconic. Gallery-style closet? Yes please!
As far as condition goes, she’s vintage, which means she’s lived a little. Expect some scratches on the chrome base, a few scuffs on the side banding, but the front and top are in shockingly good shape. Like “how is she this well-preserved?”
Pierre Cardin wasn’t just a fashion legend—he was an intergalactic design disruptor. He pushed boundaries in both fashion and furniture, pioneering space-age silhouettes and high-gloss finishes before anyone else dared. His furniture line from the ‘70s and ‘80s was short-lived but legendary—think lacquer, chrome, and geometric boldness with a couture twist.
Designer Compatibility?
She pairs seamlessly with Gabriella Crespi’s golden curves, Milo Baughman’s lucite dreams, or Paul Evans’ brutalist Cityscape blocks. Basically, she plays well with all the icons.
TL;DR:
Authentic Pierre Cardin
Signed + stunning
Drawer-loaded and drama-filled
Chic enough to live in any room
Not just a wardrobe. She’s a statement. -
