Cartier Paris Late Art Deco Ruby Bracelet

$ 65,000
  • Description
    Created by Cartier Paris in the 1930s, this 18K gold bracelet is set with over five carats of rubies. It is composed of circular gold links joined by arched bars set with buff-top calibré-cut rubies. Beautifully weighted and set with blazing red rubies, this Cartier jewel links Art Deco geometry with the curving, streamlined aesthetic of the Art Moderne.

    Dimensions: 6.50" length.
    Materials: 63 calibre-cut rubies (approximate total weight 5.67 carats); 18K Gold
    Gram Weight: 45.0 Grams
    Signed: Cartier Paris, French Assay marks

    A number of platinum and diamond strap bracelets set with a single type of calibré-cut gem in strong geometric designs appeared in Cartier's work in the late 1920s. Though never abandoned by Cartier for its objets and accessories, gold returned to their jewelry in the 1930s, when this deceptively casual and captivating bracelet was made.
