Description
This stunning Art Deco side table, model no. 806, designed by Wolfgang Hoffmann for Howell during the 1930s, epitomizes the sleek elegance and modernity of the era. Showcasing Hoffmann’s signature streamlined aesthetic, the table blends functionality with sculptural refinement, making it an iconic piece of American Art Deco design.
The table features a three-tier bullet form design. The tiered construction, combined with its streamlined silhouette, creates a striking visual rhythm. Supporting the tiers are curvilinear chrome supports, whose graceful arcs contrast beautifully with the clean, geometric forms of the tops. The chrome finish enhances the table’s modernist feel, adding a reflective, industrial edge while emphasizing the interplay of light and shadow, harmonizing beautifully with the black lacquer finish.
Hoffmann’s innovative use of materials and bold yet balanced design sensibility are evident in every detail of this piece. Designed for Howell Company, renowned for its quality and innovation in furniture production, this side table is as functional as it is stylish—ideal for use in living rooms, lounges, or as an accent piece in any modern or Art Deco-inspired interior. Styling beautiful in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. In Mint Restored Condition.
