Description
This Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Box in Ultramarine and Phthalo is an extraordinary blend of bold color, artisanal craftsmanship, and contemporary design. Made in Murano, Italy, during the 21st century, this hand-blown glass box reflects the ingenuity and dedication of Murano artisans, whose techniques have been refined over centuries to achieve mastery in glassmaking.
The ultramarine and phthalo color palette presents a stunning interplay of deeply saturated blues. Ultramarine, with its rich and vibrant tone, is paired with phthalo, a deep teal-green hue, creating a seamless gradient of cool, ocean-inspired colors. This dynamic color combination evokes both drama and tranquility. The smooth transitions and transparency of the glass allow the colors to interplay beautifully, lending an elegant yet modern feel to the box.
Complementing the glasswork are polished brass fittings, which add both functionality and a refined sense of luxury. The warm gold of the brass serves as a striking counterbalance to the cool blues of the glass, creating a harmonious contrast. These fittings are smoothly finished and precisely crafted to enhance the clean, modern geometry of the box while ensuring durability for frequent use.
This Murano box is ideal for storing jewelry, keepsakes, or other small treasures, elevating even the simplest items into something cherished. Its minimalist, modern profile makes it suited for display in a variety of settings—from contemporary coffee tables and vanities to eclectic bookshelves—while its striking colors and artisanal craftsmanship ensure it stands out as a unique decorative sculpture. A stunning piece with unique execution and brilliant material qualities, this box will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Condition.
