Rupert Nikoll MidCentury Brass Floor Lamp, Carl Aubock Hand Switch Austria, 1950
-
Description
A black and golden mid-century modern floor lamp from the 1950s by Rupert Nikoll, Vienna, Austria. This floor lamp impresses with its elegant and sleek form, which is why it is also referred to as the Spear or Javelin lamp. It features a beautifully shaped, polished tripod brass base, a slim blackened brass tube stem, and a charming golden handle. A special highlight is the light switch — a small, original brass hand by Carl Auböck (marked), as shown in the photos. The lamp has been rewired and is in very good condition. The lampshade has been professionally restored with a subtle light grey fabric, while the original frame has been carefully preserved to maintain its authentic proportions and dimensions.
One of our favorite floor lamps!
