21st Century Contemporary Gigantic Hand Sculpture, Goldleaf Plated, AT 2021

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Markus Treml was born 1956 in Gmunden/ Upperaustria. After his successefully study in the late 1970s in the department of sculpture at the academy of fine arts in Vienna as well as in the university of contemporary art and industrial design in Linz, he started his creative works as self-employed artist in 1982. In the following years he established numerous projects on the public but also private sector. Exhibitions abroad and nationally, as well as various awards brought him attention in the art scene. Renowned for his extremly realistic carved depictions of human faces/ busts (see the last picture), Markus Treml is an exceptional talent and absolute master when it comes to any kind of wooden art.
