Description
One of a kind, contemporary modern golden hand sculpture crafted by the renowned Austrian wood artist M. Treml. An absolutely extraordinary, gigantic floor standing hand sculpture (just see the size comparison next to a normal hand in picture No. 2) which has been designed and elaborately handcarved out of one large, very old linden tree by the artist in months of complex work. Hundreds of hand applied gold leaves confer this incredible masterpiece of wooden art an absolutely stunning look. The magical shining, valuable gilt surface reinforces the outstanding line management. Perfect anatomically shaped, this large sculpture should remind us of a past golden era when everything was made complicated by hand and not automated by any machines, robots or algorithyms like it is nowadays. At the same time it is also a warning to humankind to take more care of our amazing planet and our society. A truly unique and uncommon piece of art/ sculpture that will definitely attracts everyone´s attention.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Markus Treml was born 1956 in Gmunden/ Upperaustria. After his successefully study in the late 1970s in the department of sculpture at the academy of fine arts in Vienna as well as in the university of contemporary art and industrial design in Linz, he started his creative works as self-employed artist in 1982. In the following years he established numerous projects on the public but also private sector. Exhibitions abroad and nationally, as well as various awards brought him attention in the art scene. Renowned for his extremly realistic carved depictions of human faces/ busts (see the last picture), Markus Treml is an exceptional talent and absolute master when it comes to any kind of wooden art. -
