Description
A fine circa 1760 English coal or kindling bucket of brass-bound solid mahogany round tapered stave construction with upper opposing 'Dutch-drop' side handles. In addition to use around the hearth, it would also make a very chic waste-paper basket for the office or a receptacle for dog leashes, toys, etc., by a doorway.

Wear commensurate with age and use; historical repairs and upper brass band with slight age/use warp as shown, presents beautifully; original finish newly waxed and ready to be placed.
