Description
Rare cylindrical box in brushed and polished brass, designed and signed by Gabriella Crespi in the 1970s. Likely intended as a cigarette case, its clean and perfectly proportioned form exemplifies the designer’s minimalist and geometric aesthetic. Crafted in brass, it features an elegant patina that highlights the richness of the material and the precision of its lines. The surface has been carefully restored while preserving the character of the piece, with no dents. Both functional and decorative, this box can be displayed on a desk, coffee table, or shelf, embodying the timeless elegance of Gabriella Crespi design.
Gabriella Crespi (1922–2017) was an Italian furniture designer and artist. Deeply influenced by the philosophies of Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright, she dedicated herself from the 1950s onward to creating furniture and objects that perfectly balance aesthetic refinement with sculptural abstraction. Crespi’s innovative approach, characterized by articulated forms that respond to contemporary design needs and her remarkable ability to transform objects through openings, closures, and functional changes, quickly earned her international acclaim. -
