Description
From the late 70s Alessandro Mendini was among the renewers of Italian design, both as a theoretical intellectual and as an influential member of the Alchimia group. He then worked for numerous companies such as Alessi, Venini, Bisazza, Cartier, Hermès, Vacheron Constantin, Supreme NYC, Swatch, Swarovski, etc.
His furniture is also well known ans exhibited in several permanent collections such as the Triennale Design Museum and the Catanzaro Museum of Arts.
Alessandro Mendini has received numerous international awards, including the Italian industrial design award Compasso d'Oro in 1979.He edited many architecture magazines including Domus, Casabella and Modo, which he founded.
In 1989 he founded Atelier Mendini together with his brother.
Here we have a pair of wall lights mod. Cubosfera, in molded glass with brass details, realized in 1968 for Fidenza Vetraria.
In very good condition and fully original.
We can rewire the light system to US standards upon request.
We recommend a wooden crate for shipping, to prevent glass damage. -
