Ribbed Glass Wall Lights in the Manner of Mario Bellini, Italy, 1960s

Description
These wall-mounted lights are characterized by boldly molded, concentrically ribbed glass shades that project outward in a stepped, conical form. The clear glass softly refracts the light source, creating a rhythmic interplay of transparency, reflection, and shadow when illuminated. Their strong geometric profile lends the fixtures an architectural presence, while maintaining a restrained elegance typical of Italian lighting design from the postwar period. The lights are priced individually with six available.
Although no maker’s mark or label is present, the sculptural treatment of the glass, combined with the rational yet expressive form, suggests a design language closely aligned with the work of Mario Bellini and his contemporaries during the 1960s–1970s. Bellini’s approach often bridged industrial logic with sculptural clarity, particularly in lighting and interior elements conceived as integral parts of architectural space. Whether by Bellini himself or by a related Italian manufacturer working within this circle, these wall lights reflect the broader movement of Italian modernism in which material experimentation and formal rigor were held in careful balance.
