Description
Each chair features a gracefully curved, low armless form with gently rounded backs and deep seats, characteristic of mid-19th-century French salon furniture. The chairs rest on turned wood front legs and square tapering raking back legs, reflecting the refined craftsmanship and comfort-driven design of the Second Empire.
The chairs are upholstered in a tulip-pattern pastel textile, a later upholstery, which complements the sculptural silhouette while providing visual warmth. One chair exhibits a visible hole to the upholstered back. Structurally sound overall, with age-appropriate wear throughout.
A charming and versatile pair suitable for a bedroom, sitting room, or as accent seating in both traditional and eclectic interiors. -
