Rare Bar Cabinet in Birch and Glass, 1930

This rare bar cabinet with trolley, produced in Sweden during the 1930s, is a striking example of Scandinavian Art Deco design. It is crafted from pyramid mahogany, birch root, and glass, showcasing the rich textures and natural beauty of these materials. The cabinet features a refined symmetrical design with book-matched veneer doors that highlight the dramatic grain patterns of the pyramid mahogany. The upper cabinet is supported by two slender, raised legs, giving it a floating appearance above the accompanying trolley. The interior of the cabinet is lined with beautifully figured birch root and provides a variety of storage compartments, including dedicated shelving for bottles and glasses, as well as built-in curved shelves on the inside of the doors secured by polished metal rails. The trolley beneath the cabinet features a textured glass top, framed by mahogany wood, and rests on functional metal casters, allowing for easy mobility.
