Description
This pair of French floor lamps features tall vertical silhouettes wrapped in moss green velvet. The color brings depth and the textile introduces a soft matte texture that contrasts with polished metal accents. Velvet has been valued since the Renaissance for its density of color and tactile surface, and its later use in lighting reflects a renewed interest in materials that soften interiors. These lamps function as sculptural forms as well as ambient light, adding height, atmosphere, and a sense of presence in a room. Rewired for American use.
