Executed in the historic maque lacquer tradition of Olinalá, Guerrero, Mexico, this circular tray reflects a lineage of Mexican decorative arts distinguished by discipline, patience, and material knowledge. Its restrained white perimeter frames a hand-painted beige composition, where fluid, organic motifs unfold across the surface in a controlled yet expressive pattern.

The form is defined by a shallow cylindrical wall with integrated cutout handles, reinforcing both structural clarity and usability. The circular geometry provides a measured boundary for the painted field, allowing the natural pigments to articulate subtle tonal variation without overwhelming the object’s formal balance.
