Description
Most importantly, this flatware set is unused and therefore in as-new condition, exactly as it left the store. It remains complete, original, and beautifully presented in its original wooden storage case. While it is impossible to know for certain, we believe it is highly unlikely that another complete and unused example like this still exists today.
An award-winning Austrian flatware service from the 1950s, Model No. 1050, executed by Amboss Austria, a manufacturer renowned for collaborating with some of Austria’s most important designers and architects, including Carl Auböck, Helmut Alder, and János Megyik. This iconic pattern is also known as the Landhaus or Speck flatware design and later became internationally known as Buffalo.
Crafted from high-quality stainless steel, the set features beautifully grained warm wooden handles. The handles are of sophisticated multi-part construction and meticulously crafted, accented with decorative brass rivets. Their elaborate production made this model one of the most exclusive and expensive flatware series ever manufactured by Amboss.
The 32-piece set includes a complete service for six persons: 6 dinner knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 dinner spoons, 6 dessert forks, 6 teaspoons / small spoons, as well as a large spoon and a large carving fork. Please refer to the photographs for details.
As mentioned at the beginning of the description, this flatware remains in excellent unused condition.
A wonderful and highly decorative tableware classic by Amboss, one of Austria’s most important cutlery manufacturers. - More Information
