Parsifal sculpture in glass paste by Claude Wetzstein for Daum Cristallerie around 1970. This work perfectly illustrates the multidisciplinary artist's transition from a cubist vocabulary to a more poetic and expressive visual language. Depicting a horse and his knight in deep purple glass paste, the composition offers a modernist and abstract interpretation freely inspired by the legendary knight Parsifal. The richness of its violet tones and the exceptional quality of the glass paste lend the sculpture both rarity and a striking decorative presence. Signed by the artist and numbered 61/200. Presented in very good overall condition.
