Description
An elegant and increasingly rare seven-piece wrought iron patio dining set designed by Mario Papperzini for Salterini, dating to the 1970s. Celebrated for its refined architectural lines and sculptural lattice design, this iconic outdoor dining ensemble exemplifies the timeless sophistication that has made Salterini furniture highly sought after by collectors, landscape architects, and interior designers alike.
The set includes a rectangular dining table with its original tempered glass top and six matching armchairs, all retaining their desirable original verdigris patina. The naturally aged finish displays authentic oxidation, finish losses, and weathering accumulated over decades, creating the rich character and texture prized in vintage garden furniture.
The chairs feature gracefully curved lattice backs, integrated arms capped with decorative spheres, and airy open-grid seats that balance visual lightness with substantial construction. The dining table echoes these elegant lines with geometric stretcher details beneath the glass, allowing the sculptural ironwork to remain visible from every angle.
Perfect for a Mediterranean villa, Spanish Colonial estate, Palm Beach residence, California patio, European garden, conservatory, loggia, or luxury outdoor entertaining space, this versatile set also works beautifully in sophisticated indoor settings such as sunrooms or garden rooms.
An exceptional choice for interior designers, landscape designers, architects, and collectors seeking authentic vintage outdoor furniture with enduring style and craftsmanship.
