Description
An exceptional vintage California Spanish Revival octagonal side table, circa 1920s–1930s, featuring an intricately glazed polychrome art tile inset top housed within a richly grained hardwood frame. The octagonal top centers four beautifully matched ceramic tiles forming a dramatic circular medallion in vibrant turquoise, ochre, burnt orange, aubergine, and terracotta, strongly reminiscent of tile work produced by Southern California makers such as Taylor Tile, Catalina, Malibu, or other early California art pottery workshops.
Raised on six hand-turned legs with a scalloped apron, this table captures the warmth and architectural character of Spanish Colonial Revival, Monterey, Mission, Arts & Crafts, and California Hacienda interiors. The proportions make it ideal as an end table, drinks table, occasional table, bedside table, or accent pedestal within both historic and contemporary interiors.
The hand-glazed tile composition creates an immediate focal point, offering the kind of color, texture, and provenance highly sought after by interior designers, collectors of California decorative arts, Spanish Revival architects, and design professionals sourcing one-of-a-kind statement furnishings.
A rare opportunity to acquire an authentic period California tile-top table with strong decorative presence and collector appeal.
