Sue Coleman opened Garden Court Antiques June, 2002 in the San Francisco Design Center. Sue has been collector of fine European antiques for well over 30 years. Early on she focused on Georgian Period English furniture, but through her years of travel throughout Europe she began to see the beauty and whimsy of country furniture throughout Europe. Quality has less to do with a specific country or period and more with individual pieces defined by patina, form, color, craft, texture and, most importantly, the soul of objects themselves. Garden Court Antiques collection is elegant without being fussy. We offers antiques & decorative objects that have rich patinas & unexpected charm. Pieces that bring a warmth & elegance to one’s home. "I look for pieces that have soul. I can’t really describe what that means exactly, but I know it when I see it!” - Sue Coleman. Jim Gallagher has been working in the Design Center for the last 18 years. Prior to Garden Court, Jim has worked with Ed Hardy, Shears & Window and Sloan Miyasato. His knowledge of antiques as well as of the Design Center offers clients valuable guidance navigating the world of antiques in design.
