Naturalists’ Sanctuary

Pristine marshes and meadows are home to a plethora of rarely seen migratory birds as they pass over Long Island and this charming house. Built at the turn of the 20th century it has been carefully restored after years of inevitable damage being located in an active flood plain and exposed to the corrosive effects of salt air for many decades. This indefatigable family, still possessing the pioneering spirit of their ancestors, not only restored the original property and its surrounding acreage, but confidently doubled the size of the house with a seamless addition that captures and enhances its nuances and scale. It has truly become the hub of this vibrant family, and now ready to welcome new generations who fully appreciate its confident presence.
