Oceanfront Reimagined
After a devastating hurricane destroyed much of this 1980’s house located on the very tip of Absecon Island, the structure was redesigned to maximize both protection from the elements and open vistas of the sea. This balance was achieved by enlarging openings with storm proof doors that fold back completely to allow true indoor/outdoor living. Teak flooring complements honed marble, bronze fixtures and woven fiber furniture. Abundant use of natural linen, cotton and bamboo welcome a carefree lifestyle and create a soft palette that reflects the beauty of the surroundings.
