Spread across 180 buildings at the High Point Market Authority in North Carolina, High Point Market is the largest home furnishings trade show in the world. Attracting an average 75,000 attendees, including buyers and leading interiors designers from around the world, the show provides an exclusive look at hundreds of new products from a mix of well-established and emerging brands as well as unparalleled insight into consumer trends.

With over 2,000 exhibitors, High Point Spring Market presents a treasure trove of furniture, lighting, home accents, decor, and much more. Among this year’s must-see exhibitors are The Swanky Abode, a home furnishings boutique specializing in contemporary pieces as well as vintage gems by the likes of Edward Wormley, Milo Baughman, T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, and George Nelson; Craft Associates Furniture, a maker of mid century-inspired furnishings; leading contemporary furniture manufacturer Thayer Coggin; and Baker Furniture, which has a history of teaming up with the design world’s top talents, including Jean-Louis Deniot, Thomas Pheasant, Jacques Garcia, Tony Duquette, and Laura Kirar.

While the sheer number of new products being debuted at High Point Spring Market can be overwhelming, there are a few that have tastemakers particularly abuzz. Among the most highly anticipated launches are designer Barry Goralnick’s Blended Modern capsule collection for Vanguard Furniture; fashion-designer-turned-lifestyle-maven Kate Spade’s line of fabrics for Kravet; and Michael Wolk’s Palm Springs-inspired collection for Carter Furniture.  Michael Berman for Theodore Alexander, which includes organic yet modern pieces, also has pulses racing.

During High Point Market’s five-day run, visitors can drop in on talks, tours, and launch parties featuring a bevvy of industry leaders. Among the top events are a panel discussion titled Secrets of Creating Curated Interiors Combining Color, Periods and Styles on Saturday, April 16, featuring designers Tobi Fairley, Mary Douglas Drysdale, Susan Jamieson, and Tom Clark Haines, which will shed light on mixing modern and traditional elements successfully. On Sunday, April 17, during the Design for Real Living panel, designers Anthony Baratta, Mark D. Sikes, Susan Hable, and Celerie Kemble will discuss creating interiors that are both beautiful and functional. The panel will be followed by a lecture led by Better Homes & Gardens’ East Coast Editor Eddie Ross on decorating with accessible finds and a Q+A session featuring interior designer Thom Filicia. On Monday, April 18, highlights include a lecture on outdoor furniture design led by Barclay Butera and Mix Masters: Balancing Successful Design Strategies, which features designers known for their distinctive global styles, including New Yorker Kati Curtis, Southerners Shay Geyer and Paula Grace, and California’s Kerrie Kelly, in conversation.
