Angelo Lelli (Lelii)

Italian, 1911 - 1979

Angelo Lelii (often also spelled Angelo Lelli) founded the Italian lighting company Arredoluce in Manza, Italy, and was a major force in Italian postwar lighting design. Arredoluce collaborated with many leading Italian designers such as Gio Ponti, Achille Castiglioni, Ettore Sottsass and Franco Albini. Lelli’s most iconic design is the “Triennale” floor lamp but he was also responsible for many of the most innovative lighting designs of the 20th century.
