Bitossi Ceramiche was founded near Florence in 1921 by Guido Bitossi. After World War II, Aldo Londi became the creative director. The Tuscan ceramic manufacturer is well known for its Rimini Blu collection as well as its proprietary chromatic glazes. Several designers collaborated with Bitossi, including Ettore Sottsass, Piero Fornasetti, Karim Rashid, Arik Levy, Fabio Novembre, Benjamin Hubert, Matteo Thun, Monica Förster, Cédric Ragot among others. In 2014, Bitossi Ceramiche became an official member of the Registry of Italian Historical Companies, appointed by the National Union of Chambers of Commerce.
