Dimitri Omersa

Yugoslavian
Dimitri Omersa was a Yugoslavian-born British leather sculptor and designer who created a range of animal-shaped leather products, including the iconic Omersa leather pig footstool. Omersa began his career as a craftsman in the 1950s, working for Liberty of London and later for Abercrombie & Fitch. He designed a variety of leather products for both companies, including furniture, bags, and accessories. However, he is best known for his animal-shaped leather footstools, which became popular in the 1960s and 70s. Omersa passed away in 2013, but his legacy lives on through his leather creations, which continue to be highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts around the world.
