Werkstätte Carl Auböck
Austrian
Carl Auböck (1900-1957) was an Austrian designer and silversmith. He was known for his modernist designs of everyday objects, such as lamps, clocks and kitchenware. He opened his own workshop in Vienna in 1930 and his designs quickly gained international acclaim. His work is still highly sought after today and can be found in many major design collections. His son, Carl Auböck II (1924-1993), continued his father’s legacy in the same workshop and was known for his own sculptural designs.
