Early 20th Century English Compton Terracotta Pot on Pedestal

$ 14,500
  • Description
    Dimensions: 34” H x 28 ½” W x 28 ½” D

    A large English terracotta pot made by Compton Potters of Guildford in the early 20th century. The oversized vessel consists of a bowl with a pedestal atop an elevated square base. Along the bowl’s exterior are three swags of floral forms, which add nice softness to the simplistic design and solid material. Its sturdy base supports the pot and ensures stability across a range of surfaces and terrains. The brilliant orange color of the terracotta is on display throughout the piece. This pot would make a stunning addition to your outdoor space as a planter or as a garden sculpture. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions.
