Description
Art Deco glass vase by Charles Schneider, France, circa 1930, signed on the base. The conical body in deep raspberry red glass rises from a rounded foot and is accented with applied orange glass bands at the rim and waist, creating a vivid, modern color contrast characteristic of Schneider’s work. The vase is in perfect original condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs, showing only minimal wear consistent with age, and is ready to display.
Charles Schneider (1881–1953) was one of the leading French glass designers of the Art Deco period, celebrated for his intense colors, innovative techniques, and sculptural forms. After training in Nancy and working at Daum, he founded his own glassworks with his brother Ernest, producing both the Le Verre Français line and pieces signed “Schneider,” which were sold through the best Parisian galleries and exported worldwide. His vases and lighting often feature daring color juxtapositions, powdered and layered glass, and clean modern shapes, making them highly sought‑after today by collectors of 20th‑century decorative arts - More Information
