Description
Pair of French Christofle table candelabra in silvered bronze
French, late 19th Century
Height 49cm, width 22cm, depth 22cm
These fine Christofle silvered bronze candelabra are designed in a classical style that in many ways hints at the Art Nouveau. Each candelabrum features a quiver-form stem raised above a moulded circular base. The stem issues three curving branches, each supported by swags and each issuing scrolling acanthus leaves. The central stem and each of the three branches terminate in foliate candle holders and drip pans. The bronze is marked and numbered for Christofle.
