An Elegant Italian Midcentury Modern Umbrella Stand or Trash Bin in the style of Gio Ponti. The piece is a modern multi-functional object, a trash bin or an umbrella stand. Above all, it is an object with beautiful lines and pure form using dynamic complimentary colors that highlight the structure of the piece. It features an exquisite hand made brass base in which the black enameled steel bin rests. The solid brass base is a cylindrical structure rests on 3 delicate legs and holds the black steel can in place via a set of small brass finials which can screw on and off to allow removal of the bin. The piece is a masterpiece of form and function. An everyday object becomes also on object of beauty and desire.
