A striking centrepiece in bold red, this limited-edition Yamaha piano is one of only 50 ever produced in partnership with music legend Elton John. Released in 2005, this exclusive series was designed to honour his famed Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, which spanned from 2004 to 2009. The production was aptly named ‘The Red Piano’, with the instrument serving as a visual and thematic focal point on stage.
This particular model is from Edition B, a rarer subset of the collection with just 20 pieces manufactured, compared to 30 in Edition A. It also features Yamaha’s advanced Disklavier player system, preloaded with a selection of Elton John’s recorded performances specially made for this line.
Yamaha and Elton John’s collaboration dates back to 1993, reflecting a long-standing and successful partnership.
Enhancing its collector appeal, the music rack bears Elton John’s autograph, accompanied by a commemorative plaque inscribed ‘Elton John / Limited Edition / Signature Series Red Piano / Mark IV / Disklavier / Edition B Unit 13 of 20 Serial# 6220013’.
Included with the piano is a matching red bench, crafted in the same vivid hue as the instrument itself.
A rare opportunity to acquire a piece that fuses musical history with fine craftsmanship, this piano not only showcases Yamaha’s exceptional engineering but also celebrates Elton John’s cultural legacy. The piano is a must-have for serious collectors and music enthusiasts alike.
