This exquisite Antique Irish Donegal Rug features a soft tangerine field adorned with alternating, offset rows of delicate racemes and secondary floral motifs. The straw-toned border gracefully extends into the field, showcasing elegant swags, curled leaves, and barbed acanthus elements. Handwoven with a coarse wool weave and a thick, plush pile, this rug is in good condition. While many Donegal rugs reflect either the Oushak influence or traditional Irish motifs, this rare piece stands apart with its own unique and captivating charm.
