This well-woven central Persian urban large carpet shows a light straw-ecru field with a centred, but generally allover pattern of petal palmettes, long barbed sickle leaves, crosses in open lozenges, two levels of formal vinery, rosettes and sinuous cloud bands. Navy border with petal palmettes and cloud bands. Cotton ground weave, shortish pile. Good condition.
