Description
Striped columns rising from floral navy bases to navy capitals frame the rust ogival medallion with a navy centre. Cypresses and escutcheons further emphasize the median lib. Ecru field with small flowers and red half vases at the sides. Navy border with inward petal palmettes and well-designed flowering plants at the corners. Unusual Mohtasham period Kashan with a fine weave on cotton. The weavers were working from a cartoon rather than their heads here. Good condition consonant with the age.
