Description
The generic name for the village rugs of the Chahar Mahal district in west-central Persia. On cotton frequently single-wefted often room size with medallions. "garden" panel patterns allovers in semi-geometric drawing and with saturated palettes. Also refers to the local migratory nomads famous for their pile and sumak mixed technique large bags. Moderate prices. Moderate weave.
