Description
From western Persia, thus creamy-straw carpet shows a strong curving arabesque vinery positioning oval palmettes, with a quadruple conjoint rosette and foursickle leaf centre, all accented in rust-red, green and chocolate. Green border with lappet and petal rosettes, and palmettes. Cotton foundation. Medium-coarse weave. Areas of light wear inducing corduroy ribbing. Generally good condition. Cream ground Sutanabads are the most desirable of the type and always decorative.
